ABOUT ME:

I'm a 20 year old freelance photographer currently based in Midwest Minnesota.

You can usually find me treasure hunting at thrift stores, living the barista life at my local coffee shop, instagramming way too much, going on road trip adventures with my boyfriend as often as possible (and making youtube videos along the way), or skateboarding with the homies. I love expressing my inspirations out through my photos, connecting with people, exploring new places, and trying new things!

I've been doing photography for a few years now. I've been self-taught through the help of my great friends, Google and Youtube. I feel like I'm continuously learning something new each day. Collaborating with other photographers, has helped me a grow a ton as well! It's been so rad turning my favorite hobby into basically a full-time job for myself this past year and being able to capture so many amazing moments for people :) I feel super blessed to see so much positive feedback on my work. It has really pushed me to keep pursuing this and set big goals for myself!

PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE:

I would say my "photography style" is very easy going and different. I love to keep my photo shoots adventurous and unique for every person + occasion that I photograph. I don't own my own studio space or anything yet, so it has really taught me to get creative by shooting mostly outdoors. It's cool for me because I have so much fun exploring for new spots that people wouldn't typically think of taking pictures at. It's cool to see potential in normal "everyday" locations and have a new perspective on things. You can create some of the most amazing photos in some of the most RANDOM places. That's what I love about shooting outdoors so much. The possibilities are endless when you keep your eyes open.

FAVORITE THINGS TO PHOTOGRAPH:

People & places...two things that inspire me so much. I love working with people and exploring new places! There is something so rewarding about taking photos for people and getting such an amazing response when they see what you captured for them. I can't think of any better feeling :) Photographers have the capability to capture something so special for people that will last a lifetime. It makes me so happy! I also draw a lot of personal inspiration from fashion-based photography. It's my personal favorite. Partially because I love styling clothes so much and combining that with photography just inspires me on a whole other level.

PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS:

(1) Find what inspires you, find your vision. stick with it. (2) Do some research and find a good camera that suits your lifestyle (heck, even iPhones are amazing). (3) Natural lighting is your BFF. can't express that enough. (4) My FAVORITE editing software is Adobe Light room + VSCO.... they are my jam. (5) Shoot, shoot, shoot. get your work out there. be creative. stand out. have FUN :)

FUTURE PLANS...DREAM JOB...TRAVELING:

Basically to continue photographing/creating/traveling my whole life! My dream job would be to work as a photographer, model, or run social media for my favorite companies such as Free People + Urban Outfitters + Stance. Any opportunity with any of those companies would be a dream come true for me! Their overall vibes are right up my alley, and I take a lot of inspiration from all of them.

If I could travel anywhere, I would go.....EVERYWHERE! but if I had to pick one place to start, it would be probably be in the mountains of New Zealand! I feel like I would be in picture paradise there, OR somewhere tropical like Bali, Indonesia..... I have still NEVER seen the ocean in person before. So that is an obvious priority on my travel bucket-list.
